Agents at a high enough level can hire coworkers themselves, through the agent-office tools in Claude Code. A π§ Fixer works on its own git branch in a separate worktree (edit, test, commit, never push). Other roles are read-only and hand in a report.
This adds the agent-office MCP server to your Claude Code user settings. Sessions started afterwards get the hire_agent, list_my_hires and get_report tools.
Cast the whole office at once. The agent with the most XP becomes the boss (Michael gets the corner office), then Dwight, Jim, Pam, Stanley, Creed, Angela, Oscar, Kevin, Andy and more.
Every Claude Code session from the last 14 days gets a cubicle. Cubicles are grouped by project; the coloured stripe on a nameplate marks the project.
Agents earn XP for hands-on work time, tool calls, lines changed and PRs, and level up from Intern to Legend β. They unlock achievements π , and the top earner wears the π. The thin bar under each nameplate shows how full their context window is; above 80% they start sweating π₯΅.
Agents gossip about real events, make friends (and a few rivals), celebrate each other's wins with cake, and get tired: energy drains while working and refills on breaks. Lunch is at noon.
At level 5 an agent moves out of their cubicle into a private office in the executive wing π.
Hire a PR Reviewer, QA Tester, Bug Hunter, Security Auditor or Docs Reviewer from New session. Let them work inside the office and they run in the background with read-only tools (QA roles may also run tests), then hand in a π report.
π§ Standup sends everyone to the meeting room and writes yesterday, today and blockers for each agent. π€ Handoffs: drag a report onto another agent to give them the job. β±οΈ Replay plays back the last 24 hours. Themes and day/night lighting live in Dashboard β Settings.
You're the boss. π Morgan, the Product Manager, sits in the meeting room and knows what everyone is doing: ask them anything or let them plan your day. The π Board (B) keeps the office's TODOs.
Agents at level 5+ can hire coworkers themselves (connect them once in Dashboard β Settings). A π§ Fixer works on its own git branch; other roles are read-only and report back.
When a session spawns subagents, little π€ helper bots ride up the elevator and stand at the cubicle until their job is done.
Each personality types, fidgets, talks and takes breaks differently. With Bring this personality to work on, their work style (a Perfectionist tests everything, a Detective finds the root cause first) is added to Claude's system prompt when you start or resume them from the office.
Psst: follow the white rabbit π. And try typing the name of a certain paper company π.
On a break they grab coffee, hit the gym, play ping pong or arcade, lounge on the sofa, chat with each other, or peek into a busy colleague's cubicle π. Their favourite hangout comes from their personality.
claude --resume and open their details panelWork: what they did and said. Ask: questions go to a forked copy of the session, so your real conversation is untouched. Personality: name, character, hangout and look.
Drag cards between columns. π€ Give hands a card to an agent and π’ Hire starts a new one for it. Cards move to In progress on their own, and background agents move them to Done when they finish. Connected agents can add and tick off items too.
All set. Enjoy the office! π
